1230 still on patrol, asked to move car for a photo shoot, moved
1430 completed checks,
1545 I began the patrols of the neighborhood and re-checks of the vacation homes.
1630 All vacation homes checked secure on re-check
1645 I received call on detail phone from resident. The caller wished to make us aware that overnight Sunday night both of their unlocked vehicles had been entered as they were parked in front of their home. No loss was suffered or items taken but it appeared to the caller items had been displaced from the glove box/console areas.
A report was not desired, only information imparted to the patrols officers.
1715 Fueled, washed, refilled window washer fluid and replace burnt brake lamp in patrol car.
1830 It appears there is a record amount of large trash items at curbside tonight awaiting collection tomorrow. This of course translates to a record amount of treasure hunters shopping in the neighborhood as well. I have stopped several and checked them out and all appears secure.
1900 Patrolled the Yacht Club and Isles.
1940 Checked all of the parks, all was found quiet and vacant.
2030 Checked the school and church properties

1740 Traffic stop on moped driver riding on sidewalk against one way on SE 9 Ave. Local resident claiming to be trying to get home out of the rain. Warning given.
1910 Checked Yacht club. Rainy slow night.
1930 Dispatched to alarm at a business. Cancelled as I arrived.

0700- Began and completed out of town checks, all appear to be secure.
0750- Patrolled Isles and LYC. Bridges free of fisherman.
0815- Patrolled Rio mainland and parks.
0830- Patrolled businesses along Federal.
0900- Traffic enforcement (stop sign) Cordova/9st. No violators.
0920- Final patrol all areas.
1620 Call from resident reference a solicitor for GE alarms. He did not have a City permit. He was advised and left the area.
1800 Rain. Checked the Yacht Club parking areas
1900 Continued patrols in the rain. Checked businesses along Fed.

1830 – Check the federal business district.

0745- Began and completed out of town checks, all appear to be secure.
0830- Patrolled Isles and bridges. All Isle bridges clear of fisherman. Contact was made with 6 fisherman at 9st N/S Rio bridge who were unable to produce any permits. All parties cleaned the area and left with out incident.
0900- While conducting traffic enforcement 9ave/9st. I was approached by member who had a 21 attempt on Saturday evening. Stated a w/m approached the walled residence with a pit bull and was attempting to loosen the front door handle with tools he had in his possession.
0930- Observed two W/M’s walking around residence. Contact was made, it was later determined they are looking for houses in disarray to purchase and flip. Everyone’s looking to make a buck.
1030- Patrolled Rio mainland, not much activity, parks are full of kids since it’s Veterans day.
1050- Patrolled to the rear of businesses along Federal Highway, no unusual activity to report.
1100- Flagged down by S-13 W/M on 9ave. who was in need of directions to Fort Lauderdale Hospital. Directions gladly provided as I on viewed him leaving Rio Vista.
1115- Final patrol all areas.

1020 Starting patrol.
1800 Completed vacation checks
1900 Flagged down by resident on SE 7 St who stated a male in a grey van claiming to be selling Persian rugs walked into her garage and frightened her. There was approximately an 1 hour delay in reporting. I circulated the area and nothing was found.
2040 Spoke with new resident to the area about his crime concerns. I provided him with flyer with detail info in case he wants to join.
2210 Responded to resident found chicken bones stacked neatly on her trash can and was concerned someone was in her yard. I checked the yard and then viewed the cameras to discover that it was some type of animal who helped itself.

0730- Began and completed out of town checks, all appear to be secure.
0850- Responded to alarm at a residence, cancelled upon my arrival.
0910- Removed non-permit fisherman from 8th St. bridge
0930- Contact was made with S-86 type seeking shelter from last nights rain. he was provided two options leave or 10-15. He chose to gather his belongings and left without incident.
1015- Patrolled Isles and bridges.
1045- Patrolled Rio mainland, large event is being held at Hector park, assisted with truck traffic as they were bringing in bounce houses, slides, vendors, etc. I remained visible and assisted patrons with parking.
1215- Patrolled businesses along Federal Hwy. No unusual activity to report.
1300- Provided many motorists with directions to event. Nobody can seem to find Ponce.
1330- Overall quiet day, received noise complaint reference to event, which will end shortly.
1350- Final patrol all areas.

0840- Began and completed out of town checks, all appear to be secure.
0930- Patrolled Isles and LYC.
1120- Assisted patrol unit at residence reference a burglary to a vehicle. Resident stated she had left her Cartier watch in her UNLOCKED vehicle over the weekend and now it is missing. Time delay Fri-Mon.
1130- Call from resident reference to fisherman 11st/Cordova, will check as I leave.
1645 10-8, one message from Resident claiming to have been chased by a dog while running in. Called him back and advised I would speak with the owner. Also provided number for animal control. Spoke with resident who stated the dog was off the leash in the yard. She was apologetic. Advised on leash laws.
1730 Verified sign deliveries.

1045 Traffic enforcement 9 Ave/11 Ct. Verbal provided to lost motorist.
1100 Final patrols all areas. Observed elderly resident sitting on porch, stopped by to check on her since she is having some health issues.
1700 Checked Yacht club
1810 Call from resident who has returned home from vacation. I removed them from the log.
1820 Call from resident of suspicious Toyota parked in front possibly casing house. I contacted vehicle. It was two H/M who claimed to be looking to pick up girlfriend who cleans houses. Checked car, subjects. No warrants. G/F verified story. All was ok.
2000 Continuing patrols. Quiet.
2200 Checked mainland, Smoker Park. Quiet.

0845 Began patrols and checks of vacation homes.
0935 All homes on the mainland were found secure
1100 All remaining homes on the isles were found secure
1150 Removed two subjects trespassing/fishing on vacant lot at the end of SE 7 Street. The subjects left without an problems. They stated they had permission to fish from the property owner but could not recall the property owners name or phone number.
1235 Patrols of the Yacht Club, big holiday event continues today.
1310 I removed a W/M homeless type individual from Stranahan Landings Park. This subject was intoxicated and stated he was just seeking a place to nap. Advised him to leave the area. No warrants were located on the individual.
1400 Continued patrols at the Yacht Club area
1415 Final patrols of the area, all is quiet today.

1030 Patrolled business district along Federal Hwy.
1045 Assisted patrol with a domestic disturbance on S. Federal
1110 Final patrols all areas.
1800 Patrols. I checked the Yacht Club.
2015 Large event on SE 9 Isle. Checked the large number of cars parked on the street.
2145 A suspicious male approached the trunk of my vehicle at SE 7 St/Federal Hwy. and began pulling on it attempting to open it. As I exited, he ripped open the bolted shut privacy fence to the rear of Workscapes and began pulling on the doors. I ordered him to the ground, and he stated he was looking for water in my trunk. Although he was 6’4, 270#, he was compliant and appeared disoriented. I transported him to BGH for Baker act #13-094980. I left a message for Workscapes advising.
