2115- proceeded to drive the corridors with overheads on for high variability and deterrence. Hoping to find the car burglars.
2215- Continued high visibility patrol. Checked LYC. all quiet.
2315- checked the fed highway corridors. All quiet and business as usual.
0015- Continued high visibility and overheads lights turned on. Extremely slow nite and hardly any vehicles spotted in the neighborhood.

Noticed a pair of shorts and some type of suit hanging up to the rear residence

0600- 10-8, I left a message with Carol, there are no new voicemails, texts, or emails. I reviewed the activity log.
0630- Began early morning patrol of isles
0645ish- Burglary in progress call came out for residence, patrol immediately set up a perimeter, I was on scene within 40 seconds or so along with a road patrol Officer. Everything turned out to be 10-4, it was a new neighbor moving into this resident.
House checks complete.
FDLE had a bail out SE 9Ave/N Rio. one in custody on scene the other jumped into water and successfully swam across to north side. He was 10-15 approximately 30 mins later. Assisted FDLE with all.

1815: In service, detail called into Hudson line. 7 missed phone calls, 7 emails...email thread was
a conversation about the bail out / helicopter presence. Phone calls: 3 voicemails left, 3
numbers inoperable, and one already spoke w/ capt. scelfo about halloween preparations. Reviewed activity log (way to go Gestal) and began roving patrol.
1915: Roving patrol of mainland, isles, LYC, and parks...arm getting tired from waving at the
lovely residents :)
2015: Resident phone call about a “bike give away program” that may be offered through the
PD; was provided Dawn Ramage’s email for follow up. Continuous roving patrol with alley and cruise lights on.
2045: Contacted a silver vehicle with flashers on at the SE 9th ST bridge; passenger was looking
over the railing for mutton fish - moved along. Shortly after, received phone call about
the vehicle / occupant “holding up traffic” - advised resident I just spoke with vehicle occupants and had them move along.

0700- School bus stop patrol.
0730- Began and completed the out of town checks, all appear to be secure.
0830- Patrol of the isles, bridges, LYC., and Hemingway Landings.
0900- Patrol of Rio mainland and parks.
0930- Final rounds, heavy traffic days due to the bulk pick-up, regular trash pick up, school ETC.
The high tides are in effect and are beginning to take over Cordova!!!!!!

1630: Detail called into Hudson line. Three missed phone calls > telemarketers or invalid
numbers upon callback. There are no new emails or text messages. Reviewed the activity
log and began roving patrol.
1700: Quite a few people enjoying Virginia Young Park > what I wouldn’t give to be young
again.
1714: Made contact with 14 year old W/F, golf cart () driver as she pulled into her
residence. Although she was not driving reckless, she was advised she
needed a FL drivers license to legally operate the golf cart on the public roadway; parents were not home.
1745: Monitored one way; no violators.
1800: Stoodby with patrol units a CPIS investigation; patrol handled
18-146475.
1830: Roving patrol of parks, LYC, Fed Hwy, aisles, and mainland.

2045 Call from residentof a suspicious older white 4 dr SUV driven by a hispanic male. Drove slowly by the house 3 times and then seemed to follow her mother. She is concerned because the suspect in her burglary was arraigned today. I checked the area, GOA. Followed her mother home and restaged the car nearby.

0900- Received a call from member who requested a drive by during tenting. Added to out of town list.

1800: In service, called detail into Hudson line. One missed [telemarketer] phone call. No new
emails or text messages. Had friendly conversation with resident mowing the grass where
rio car was parked and spoke with resident about having people do community service washing police cars. Reviewed activity log and began roving patrol.
1830: Out of town check received via email, added to log.
1845-1900: Monitor one way for traffic violators; no violators.
2000: Continued roving patrol of aisles, mainland, LYC, Fed Hwy, and parks.
2048: Made contact with three, unlicensed fishing subjects in 1700 blk of SE 10th ST.
Warned/educated them of licensing requirements.

1815: In service, detail called into Hudson line. Returned three missed phone calls; one number
was invalid, left a voicemail for the second, and the female on the third call kept hanging up on me. Activity log having issues; reviewed what activity was listed. Began roving patrol.
1837: Email received for out of town check > added to log.
1900-1930: Monitored one way at SE 9th/Davie for violators.
2037: Assisted patrol with a residential alarm;
malfunction. 18-129708.

1815: In Service. Three missed phone calls > one disconnected number, left one voicemail, and
lastly a female advised around 1600 hours, there was a suspicious W/M walking down the street – subject was gone several hours later and I provided the non-emergency phone number for future assistance. One email about a speeding motorist on SE 9th ST. No new text messages.
1815-1845: Monitored ninth and nine for stop sign violators. Began roving patrol.
1915: Roving patrol of aisles, mainland, LYC, parks, and Fed Hwy corridor.
2015: Continued roving patrol.
2115: Out of service.
Wednesday August 15th, 2018 1815: In service. One missed phone call, two emails. Returned missed call and left voicemail.
Email 1 – code complaint about small tree obscuring stop sign on NW corner of SE 9th Ave / SE 9th ST. I made several calls to determine which code officer has jurisdiction at the location and sent them an email asking to investigate. Email 2 – 3 suspicious subjects (one in spider man costume) rang doorbell at patrol completed a report.
1845: Completed two, evening out of town checks and began roving patrol.
1930: Roving patrol of aisles, mainland, fed hwy, LYC, and parks. Flagged down several times
for the incident near 8th ST.
1953: Alarm. All appeared secure; malfunction. 18-130848.

1330- Continued patrolling Rio. Business as usual. Lots of contractors driving around and working on homes.
1430- Conducted a property check. Left card. All secured.
1530- Conducted more patrol in and around the corridor.
1700- secured for the evening.
1715: In service, detail phoned in and reviewed the activity log. Began roving patrol
1815: Added two vacation checks via email. Continued roving patrol of parks, mainland, Fed
Hwy corridor.
1906: Resident advised that earlier in the day, a suspicious, gold van (Fl tag
IQZZ59), was at the adjacent, abandoned residence; a hispanic male
entered the residence and was inside for approx 45 mins. The female caller continued that the house was recently sold but, she did not have any of the new owner information; it is unknown whether or not the subject was authorized to be at the property. A property check was then conducted with all being secure except the garage door; the door was locked w/o incident.
1956: Received phone call and subsequently flagged down by two residents/pedestrians in
reference to a loose, St. Bernard at Virginia Young park. Upon arrival, the beastly dog
was walking into its residence. The owner, advised the west gate is faulty and that the pooch must have pushed it open. One of the angry pedestrians (whose young daughter was scared/chased off her bicycle) came over and had a few choice words; Streit was admonished without incident. Continued roving patrol.

Tuesday July 17th, 2018
1745: In service. Three missed calls, one missed email, one missed text. Two of the numbers did
not go through or was able to leave a voicemail; left voicemail for the third. Missed text was in reference to the above call from yesterday thanking me for the assistance AND advising she would be joining protect rio vista. Email: out of town check added to log. Apparently Gestal’s primetime vacation is more important than Rio detail! Began out of town checks.
1922: Front door left unlocked, phoned contact in out of town log four times
but no answer; left voicemail. Phoned resident from alpha list and the number is invalid. \
Checked interior of residence, all appears secure. Locked front door and left via garage door.
1950: Out of town checks complete - much nicer in the evening that during the
daytime...although the same humidity. Began roving patrol of parks, mainland, LYC, and
aisles.
2030: Monitored 9th/9 for stop sign violators.
2041: Received phone call in reference to residence.
. The caller advised it was suspicious that the garage door was observed open and owner is out of town. Conducted property check and made contact with wife’s elderly father who had come to take her to the airport. Everything OK.

1400- called in and spoke with Carol. Checked all mediums and found one new email.

1600- Spoke with resident who wanted a hit and Run accident report which incident occurred 6/1. Spoke with THI and they will follow up on Thursday.

unsecure; attempted to contact homeowner with listed phone number in Alpha list to no
avail. The neighbor approached asking if everything was ok - was able to ascertain homeowners cell phone number and confirmed door was purposely left unlocked; updated out-of-town list with new number. Neighbor will secure door later.
2030: Continued high visibility patrols of aisles, mainland, LYC, parks, and Fed Hyw corridor.

0620- In reference to Sgt. Williams notes I remained visible on 6st. No unusual activity to report.
0730- Patrol of Rio mainland and parks.
0810- Began and completed the out of town checks, all appear to be secure.
0900- Patrol of isles, bridges, and LYC..
0910- Responded in reference to an alarm, contact was made with the homeowners assistant who did not have the updated passcode. all 10-4.
Made contact with a homeless type female walking East on 9St, contact was made and she was provided directions to Greyhound.
Again I made contact with the homeowner in reference to parking literally on top of the fire hydrant. Advised her we have been getting multiple complaints and no further warnings will be provided.
0930- Remained visible mainland.
