0530- In service, I called the detail into the Hudson line. I reviewed the activity log.
0545- Patrolled the isles, yacht club and hemingway.
0645- Checked businesses along Federal Hwy and patrolled mainland
0745- Did vaca checks on the isles along with the mainland

1815 10-8 called in detail. Had to replace dying radio battery.
1920 message from earlier in the day from residence. neighbors had apparently thrown items into their yard. Meet contact with husband. He advised report had already been made, but their neighbors have issues with multiple others on the block. today they were apparently drunk and upset that they had trimmed the hedges. They threw multiple pots and other items over the fence as well as sprayed him with the hose and made disparaging remarks about his children. I advised we would provide extra patrols and further advised on how to file for misdemeanor charges.
1930 patrolling the area. Quiet
2130 came across bicyclist in the roadway on N. RVB. He believed he was just dehydrated. I got him some Gatorade and he was back on the way with his friend.

1815: In service, detail called into Hudson line. No new emails or text messages but, one missed
phone call in reference to a suspicious dark colored Mercedes in which a W/M in his 30’s with a beard that had entered a rear guest house with a tenant inside stating he was taking “photos of the property.” At end of discussion, female advised that she will consider joining Protect Rio again...Reviewed activity log and began roving patrol.
1900: Moved Rio car while home is tented.
2000: Roving patrol of aisles, mainland, parks, LYC, Fed Hwy, BCS, and Smoker Park - heavy
rain moving in.
2030: Phone call about on-going issues AirBnB disturbances - wanted to put
Rio officer’s on notice to keep an eye on - parked in front of home for visibility.
2130: Still heavily raining, out of service.

1845: In service, detail called into Hudson line. There are: 5 missed calls, 1 text message, 1
email. On callback, three numbers were invalid, the other two were in regards to delayed
auto burglaries - left voicemails. One out of town check added to log via email and reviewed activity log.
1930: Dropped off Rio Vista HOA car to garage for routine maintenance.
2000: Back in Rio - high visibility roving patrol of aisles, mainland, parks, LYC, BCS.
2030: Three licensed fishermen on 10th ST aisle.
2100: Delayed auto burglary report from SE 9th ST; vehicle was burglarized on 9/9 at
2039 hours. Case # 20-139582
2200: Out of service.
2200- called into the Hudson Line. No new messages. After being briefed by Mark Wright, I decided to sit and conduct static surveillance along the federal highway corridor.
2300- continued static patrol along the corridor and attempted to identify any suspect vehicles or persons.
0000- nothing observed. Pretty quiet evening
0100- moved location to watch the corridor. Nothing new. Construction began along the corridor and into the tunnel

Friday, September 11 2020
1600- In service, I called the detail into the Hudson line. I reviewed the activity log. No new messages left on the phone.
1615- Began out of town checks.
1715- Completed out of town checks. Amazon package moved to the back door.
1730- Checked businesses along S.Federal Hwy.
1800- Patrolled the isles. Assisted a DAV of a golf cart that was blocking both lanes of traffic in
the 1600 block of SE 10th Street.
1830- Final patrol of isles and mainland.
1900- Out of service.
2030- In service, began continuous patrols of mainland and isles, all quiet.
2130- Patrols all clear, rain moving in.
2230- Rio vehicle recovered from garage and brought back, parked along 600 blk of SE 9th St, out of service due to call out.

While exiting LYC observed W/M homeless type in wheelchair; very nasty attitude. Called me every name in the book. Possibly mentally ill. I told him to flip his wheelchair around and exit the area if he did not have a membership with LYC. He cursed residents and continued to curse me as he rolled out of the area.
1000 All house checks completed
Audible alarm came through dispatch. Checked the residence. All was
clear unable to gain access to property
1100 911 drop off pinging. That was not verified as a good address upon checking
area. Call from Rio resident ref man in wheel chair again. Concerned that he may be in
distress. Responded to area. and he was rolling down the sidewalk. Spoke to resident and
let her know the situation

0112: On my regular shift, conducted pedestrian stop
in the 800 blk of SE 9th ST not utilizing sidewalk. Advised was “out for a stroll” and appeared under the influence. Subsequently discovered he was in possession of crack cocaine, fentanyl capsules, and drug paraphernalia. Placed under arrest, case # 20-141800.
1830: In service, detail called into Hudson line. There are no new emails or text messages but,
two missed phone calls about Ofc. Smith’s wheelchair bound homeless male - made
contact with both appreciative callers. Reviewed activity log and began roving patrol.
1930: High visibility roving patrol of aisles, mainland, parks, LYC, Fed Hwy corridor, and
Smoker Park.
2030: Still roving.
2130: Out of service.

2000- quiet evening. Co tongues patrolling the corridors. Heavy and massive flooding along Cordova between 9 & 6 street.
2100- continued patrol and high visibility.checked the LYC area. Very quiet.
2200- checked the federal highway corridor. As usual heavy vehicle traffic but hardly any pedestrians
2300- continued patrolling the neighborhood and corridors but all quiet.
