0750 – 10-8, I called in the detail and left a message with my hours. It was raining, so I monitored the isles and 9 Ave while reviewing the logs and checking for messages/emails.
0830 – I checked Virginia Young Park, there were no beer cans littered anywhere today. I began vacation checks.
0900 - I checked on after being tented for termites. All appears 10-4.

I noticed a vehicle door left open,. Met with owner, all 10-4.
1145 - Still checking the many houses on the list.
1150 – 10-7
2200 10-8, I left a message with Hudson. Log reviewed. Text message regarding filing a Disturbance police report. Texted at the start of the detail. He indicated he would reach out in the am to file the police.
2220 Patrolled the corridors. All appeared to be secured.
2300 Continued high visibility patrols along the main corridors.
2345 Continued patrolling the neighborhood with overhead lights on.
0000 Patrolled of Rio mainland, parks, and business district. All quiet
0030 maintained high visibility along Fed highway. All quiet.
0100 Drove around Rio Vista with overhead police lights for high visibility.
0130 patrolled LYC and all appeared secured
0200 continued high visibility patrol along the main arteries.

0815 – 10-8, I left a message with my hours. I review the log, messages, emails, and texts.
0900 - I contacted resident in reference to a disturbance report form last night. See the email he sent for further. BOLO white Dodge Ram 2500 w/ large rearview mirrors, white male driver, yelling out slurs (unprovoked). Verbal dispute only. 34-1707-104736
0920 – Vacation checks, starting with Ponce and the isles.
0940 – Stopped out with two unlicensed fishermen at the 7 Street Bridge. I advised how they can get fishing licenses. They cleaned up and left.
1130 – All vacation checks appear secure. Checking the parks and patrolling until the end. All secure.

0500- 10-8, I left a message with Carol. There are no new voicemails, texts, or emails. I reviewed the activity log.
0520- Patrol of business district along S. Fed. No unusual activity to report.
0540- Patrol of Rio mainland, parks, and 11ct Alley.
0615- Began and completed the out of town checks, all appear to be secure.
0745- Finally done with checks, quick final rounds of Isles, bridges, and LYC.
0800- 10-7, heading in for shift. Happy 4Th.
1700 – 10-8, There are no new voicemails, texts, or emails. I reviewed the activity log.
1730 – Completed two remaining prop. Checks
1800 - Patrolled the corridors. All appeared to be secured.
1900 - Continued high visibility patrols along the main corridors and Federal Hwy..
2000 - Continued patrolling the neighborhood with cruise lights on.
2100 - Patrolled LYC and all appeared secured

0530- 10-8, I left a message with Carol. There are no new texts or emails.
0600- Patrol of Rio mainland, remained visible in the NW quadroon of Rio in hopes of speaking with the ruthless party goers.
0700- Began and completed the out of town checks, all appear to be secure.
0850- Patrol of isles, bridges and LYC. No unusual activity to report.
I was flagged down 1700 block of 11St by Rio member who had seen the tragic news of the NY Police Officer that was fatally shot while sitting in a command vehicle. He wanted to say Thank You to all of us for doing the work we do on a daily basis. BE SAFE
0930- It appears motorcycle resident has vacated. This should put an end to our speeding/loud motorcycle complaints. Additionally we may want to keep an eye on this vacant property.

1245 –Stopped a one-way violator. She was clearly lost with a GPS. I advised her to be more careful and pay attention to the roadway and signs, not a GPS.

Received a call on the rio phone regarding a possible burglary residence
; she was given the rio number by her neighbor. She believes an old tenant came back and took pool floaties, pool bleach and a saw.
I explained that I would take her report this time, however priority goes to Rio members,
Tried to do a few more vacation checks
1215- 10-8, I called the detail into Carol. I reviewed the activity log. One new text message came in while logging on.
1300- I continued the vacation checks.
1415- Completed vacation checks. Packages were removed from the front door to the backyard
1430- Patrolled the isles and yacht club.
1500- Patrolled the mainland and parks.

0730 10-8. Called in detail. No missed calls. No new texts or emails.
0740 I observed a male walking E/B on SE 11th Court who turned around 3 times to look at my vehicle. I made contact with the male, later identified. He advised that he works at LYC and was walking to work. While I was speaking to him, a homeowner approached me and advised that she knows him and confirmed that he does work at LYC. All 10-4.
0800 Started vacation checks.
1015 Completed vacation checks. All 10-4.
1020 Continued roving patrol with cruise lights activated.
2200 Called in detail and reviewed logs as well as checked messages.
2230 Began remaining vacation checks, including new addition.

Monday, July 10th,
0830 - I called in the detail and left a message for Carol. I checked the messages and emails and updated the log. It’s pouring rain, so I began doing drive-by vacation checks in the mainland and Ponce.
0900 – Still heavy rains and drive by checks.
1000 – Rain has mostly let up. I moved newspapers
1030 – Checking the isles,
1130 – Vacation checks complete, all appear 10-4.
1650 Stopped youths on golf cart at SE 9 St/ Ponce. 15 yo driver with multiple underage passengers. Trasported home and given warning that next time would be citation and tow.

2140 Removed several teens who were setting up shop in Virginia Young park. Left without incident once I explained park closes at 9,
2230 Patrolled Rio thoroughfares. All was exceptionally quiet

0650- Began and completed the out of town checks, all appear to be secure.
Upon checking residence the alarm was going off. All windows doors and screens appear to be in tact, I contacted the homeowner who will call the alarm company and I will double check the residence.

1840 Flagged down by mail lady who advised while delivering mail, she noticed door ajar at residence and they had been out of town. I spoke with neighbor who advised they had returned. I then contacted resident who advised all was 10-4

1630 Patrolled Rio vista corridors. All business as usual.
1700 Patrolled LYC and business was normal.
1800 More high visibility patrol throughout the Rio neighborhood
1900 Continued patrol along the business area. All quiet. Starting to rain
2000 Patrol the Rio corridors with overhead lights on. Rain continues

1100 – 10-8, I called Carol with my hours. There were a few new email/vacation checks and messages. I added them to the list. It’s been raining all morning and it isn’t stopping any time soon. I started drive-by checks and high visibility patrol after checking/updating the log
1200 – Received an email about a District 2 property check request. I will advise Capt. Scelfo about it.
1400 – All secure, patrolling.
1923 Out of town request check received via email, I updated the log.
1944 Call into detail phone with an out of town check request. I updated the log.

0645 10-8, called in. No messages/text.
1600- 10-8, I called the detail into Carol. Two new voicemails left on the phone. I added the address to the vacation log. Also a message was left regarding an erratic driver. I called back and he told me last night around 2130 hours, he observed a Grey or Silver Pickup truck driving erratic near the tunnel and again by N. Federal Hwy and SE 9th Street. advised he saw the vehicle park on the driveway on the SW corner. The vehicle was being driven by a W/M possibly in his 20s. I made contact with the residents. I advised them what occurred. The residents reported to me that they do not own a Pickup truck nor did they know who it was.
1630- I began out of town checks.
1800- Completed out of town checks.
1815- Patrolled the isles and yacht club.
1830- Patrolled the mainland and parks.
2030 High visibility patrols of isles and mainland

2230 Assisted patrol on a traffic stop at SE 6th St and S Fed

2334 Flagged down at funeral home on 8th st, in ref to an alarm. Accidental, activated by the cleaning crew.

0045 After speaking with residents on 10th st isle, there was concern about trash being left by fishermen at the end of the isle. Met with fishermen, which included families, and politely reminded them to make sure no trash was left behind. All were very receptive and assured that no trash would be left behind.

1420 LYC check- found a gray Lexus with an ajar truck. Made contact with Valet who advised it wasn’t one of their cars. I asked them to notify the guests of LYC.

1526 Received a call to advise the lights in the tunnel were out. Dispatch had already been advised.
1637 Cab driver sitting in the roadway off 6th street and 9TH AVE, as he looked down to what I assume was to check the address, a resident was trying to flag him several houses a way.
1440 while patrolling down, the of front porch had several large packages. No one answered after I knocked. A few minutes later a family friend arrived to move the packages into the garage.
