0530 10-8, I left a message with Carol. There were no new voicemails or texts. I reviewed the activity log.
0600 I conducted early morning sweep of the business district along S. Federal Hwy., no unusual activity to report.
0640 Patrolled Rio mainland and parks, to include the 11 Ct alley way.
0800 Began and completed the out of town checks, all appear to be secure.
0815 Indicator lights on dash acting up again.
0845 Remained visible mainland.
0900 Received text for new 7 new signs. They have been distributed

1520 I began patrols and re-checks of the vacation homes
1615 All of the vacation homes checked secure on re-checks
1700 Patrolling the main entrance streets and checking for traffic issues due to Federal Hwy traffic congestion issues.

0810- Patrolled bridges, isles, and LYC.
0850- Patrolled 11Ct alleyway.
0910- Remained visible Rio mainland and parks.
0900- Received and added out of town check.

1 voice message from resident advised of a white car always parking
Too close; making it hard for people to see the stop sign

0700 –I conducted an early morning check of the bridges in the isles and began patrolling the mainland.
0745 – Conducted vacation checks and updated vacation log.
1009 – While switching out vehicles, I received a call to the Rio Vista phone about a suspicious person at SE 9th Street.Resident provided secondhand information that a white male with red shorts and a hospital bracelet was knocking at her door and windows. A neighbor reported the incident to her and she called minutes later. I arrived to the scene as Officers Ras and Torres made contact with the subject in the cul de sac of SE 9th Street. He seemed to be confused and possibly mentally ill. He was recently in the hospital. I checked SE 9th Street and no forced entry was made, nor were there signs of any crime. 1030 – Final rounds.

1530 10-8, no messages
1730 Call of watermain break at 1233 N. Rio. Found that the construction crew when digging for landscaping hit the pipe. Called public works who advised they were shorthanded and unavailable for some time, but they will get to it when they can.
1910 Call of parking issue at Cordova. Found cars in the lane of Cordova. Contacted youth resident who seemed to have some kids over for spring break and were all too anxious to move the cars and see me on my way.

0745 – 10-8, Picked up laptop and pool car key from station. No missed calls.
0800 – Morning patrols of the mainland. Then to LYC to give laptop life and added two vacation checks to the log.
1000 – Vacation checks completed, all appears to be secure. I continued my patrols of the isles and mainland.. While on SE 8th Street I returned a small yorkie to its home
1145 – Returned to station with key and laptop. 10-7
1800 10-8, one message regarding loose dog on N., Rio. Checked the area, nothing found.

0830- Delivered remaining 2017 signs.
0900- Patrol of Rio mainland and parks.

1600 picked up sturdy laptop from PD and went10-8 from LYC. Called and checked in with
Carole. There were no new messages. Log reviewed.
1650 Began patrol the corridors all appeared to be secured.
1730 Patrolled LYC, Hemingway and surrounding areas All secured. .
1830 Patrolled of Rio mainland, parks, and business district. All quiet
1930 Drove around Rio Vista with overhead police lights for high visibility.
2030 More patrol conducted with overhead lights activated in and around LYC
2130 Drove around Rio vista with overhead lights on
2215 Received call from homeowner complaining of drag racer. Several calls came
into the 911 line as well. I drove around and located a motorized scoter. However.
Several times it took off from me and hid into their home. Spoke with several
homeowners who advised that this is a nightly occurrence. It appears the assailant lives in the neighborhood. I will pass the word to other officers.
2300 continued to search for scooter but to no avail.

0820 – 10-8, I picked up the laptop and key from the station and called the detail in. I reviewed the logs. I began patrolling the mainland and isles.
0900 – I was flagged down by a Rio resident about the cluster of large trucks on the isle of SE 10th Street. I spoke with the construction managers and asked them all to move to the right side of the road. It appears another home is going to be under construction for several weeks causing even more congestion than before.
0930 – I checked out a 4-door black Honda that’s been parked on the property of the funeral home after a resident called it in. Tag checks out 29/54.
1030 – Completed property checks and stopped by the LYC to start up the computer. Carol asked to double check the hours, as some of the voicemails came in garbled. I added a vacation check to the log as well.
1100 – Checked business and school district.
1130 – Roving patrols.
1700 picked up laptop from PD and went10-8 from LYC. Called and checked into Hudson’s
line. Received a new message on phone to check two subjects behind Hunter’s funeral
home. Subjects were GOA. Log reviewed.
1740 Began patrol the corridors all appeared to be secured.
1830 Patrolled LYC, Hemingway and surrounding areas All secured.
1835 Received a call ref speeding Blue Ranger. Diver almost struck her husband and dog. Asked for a speed message board be placed on SE 11 Ct between 9 Av/SE12 Ave. I contacted Sgt. Siekierski who advised he will make arrangement for the board.

By time I drove to 10th street the alarm was going off for vacation home. I canceled patrol
as I had just witnessed cleaning crew enter
0939 Spoke to the general contractor on SE 10TH ST regarding new cars parked on side of road. I explained that ticketing is in effect.
Resident of SE 10th st thanked me for addressing the traffic issues.

1300- Picked up laptop from the station. I reviewed the activity log. No new voice or text messages.
1330- I addressed a traffic issue in the 800 block of SE 9th Ave. Construction vehicles were blocking the S/B lane on SE 9th Ave. and the flagman directing traffic was doing a horrible job. I met with the supervisor at Gulf Construction and explained to him the problem. The supervisor was cooperative and agreed to assist the flagman directing traffic.
1400- I patrolled the mainland and parks.
1430- Traffic stop at SE 9th Ave and 12 Street. Driver disobeyed one way sign. Driver issued a warning.
1435- Received text message. I added the address to the vacation log.
1500- Patrolled isles, bridges and yacht club.
1530- Final patrol of mainland and isles
1545- 10-19, to return laptop and key. I finished completing log.

calling in reference to neighbor on a motorcycle riding recklessly with kids on the back. Urged him to call the non emergency number if no detail officer is on duty
