0820 Began and completed out of town checks, all appear to be secure.
0930 Patrolled Bridges, Isles, and LYC.
1045 Patrolled Rio mainland and parks. No unusual activity to report.
1115 Patrolled business district along S. Federal Highway. I remained visible mainland.
1140 Final patrols all areas.
1600 I began patrols and re-checks of vacation homes
1635 Directions given to lost motorist seeking Las Olas Blvd and the Cheesecake Factory.
1700 All vacation homes checked secure on re-checks
1725 I checked a group of elderly fishermen on the 7 Street Bridge.
1800 Checks a group of youths forming on the 8 Street Bridge, which was a result of a diver who was making extensive bridge foundation inspections and drew the interest of all.
1815 Check of the Isles and Yacht Club.
1900 Home owners association meeting at Rio Vista Church.
2100 Return to patrols……checked the business along Federal Hwy and all of the parks.

0630 Drive-by check of vacation homes completed during patrols, all appeared secure.
1925- Began and completed out of town checks, all appear to be secure.
1940- Flagged down 700 block of Cordova by Rio resident of a S-13 W/M. Contact was made with S-13, to be identified and was unable to provide any. Field interview conducted was re-directed to Federal Highway in order to get back to his residence. 29/54
2020- Patrolled Bridges, Isles, and LYC.
2045- Patrolled Rio mainland, parks, and business district.

0825 Delivered sign to new member
0855 While checking vacation home, I found the rear side door unsecured. Although the latch was set, the second French door was not secured to the doorjamb. Set off alarm. Called homeowner, but number was no good. I sent him an email to advise
0930 Completed vacation checks
1530 One phone message, resident called &
apparently the new alarm is malfunctioning. Shortly after leaving town there
was an activation for the interior garage door to the kitchen. I responded &
checked the residence & it is secure. The interior door may not have closed
properly.
1750 Traffic stop, stop sign violation at SE 9 & SE 10 St. Distracted Rio resident was
warned & admonished.
1810 Flagged down by resident who was asking about on-street parking
and golf cart operation. He advised Code came to his house & found no violations. He
was provided the info asked for.

1530 10-8 DELUGE. Detail called in to Carole. One text message received regarding
out of town checks.
1620 treets are experiencing flooding throughout Rio. In particular SE 7 St east of
the bridge. The intersection with Cordova is impassable. I kept coming across
pairs of animals on the street corners. It looked like they were waiting to be
picked up, or something. Really strange…..
1900 Cordova & SE 12 St and Cordova & SE 7 St still have quite a bit of standing
Water, however, they are now navigable, I mean passable.
1920 Traffic stop, one way violation in the 100 Blk of SE 9 Ave. Out of towner was
using her GPS and the GPS did not indicate a one way. She was warned and asked
if there was a pier, would she have driven off of it.

0820- Began and completed out of town checks, all appear to be secure. Upon checking vacation residence I removed a bird from the swimming pool that apparently was a victim of rip current (most likely due to the storms) and succumbed to his fate. I transported this lil fellow to a drier final resting place.
0840- Due to the overwhelming odor emitting from Capt. B’s Neiman Marcus bag filled with triscuts and treats, it has been relocated to the vehicles trunk compartment. This explains the dozens of dogs that have been in pursuit of Q35 vehicle as it patrols Rio Vista.
0930- Traffic enforcement along 9Ave. No violators.
1000- Patrolled Isles, bridges, and LYC..
1020- Patrolled Rio mainland and parks.
1040- Patrolled business district along Federal Highway.

1950 Flagged down in the 1500 block of SE 10 St by jogging resident, who
advised that between 0600 & 1700 hours unknown subject(s) dumped yard-type
landscape refuse in his rear yard. MI prepared, 14-57353. Environmental Officer notified.
2130 Corridors, parks, LYC and neighborhood secure. 10-7.

2130 10-8, message from resident at reference bums and needles in the alleyway. Asking for extra patrol.
2145 Checked the alleyway in question. Located some trash which I disposed of.

1100 I called back resident from 11 Ct to advise of my findings last night. She is grateful for the extra patrols.
1330 Issued parking citation to Natural Art trailer on SE 11 Ct/ Cordova. Blocking lane on hill left unattended. When the driver came out and moved it 10 feet to the swale, he advised he would pass the word around the office that we are now citing them.

1050 Updated vacation log with additional check
1110 Foot patrols of alleyway along cemetery reference complaint of vagrants and narcotics. I checked the area, no signs of activity.
1215 Observed pool who left the back of his truck open with lots of expensive equipment showing. He was around back. I advised him of recent thefts, and he decided to close and lock his truck.
1340 Traffic stop on vehicle for one way violation on 9 ave. Contractor headed to house in area.

0720 Checked Yacht Club
0800 Began vacation checks
0840 Flagged down by resident on SE 10 isle reference loud youths hanging out by water between 2200-2300. Requested extra patrols.
0900 Heard alarm going off at a residence. Checked the residence, all secure. The alarm was very loud and kept resetting. I called the homeowner, and left her a message advising.
1015 While checking vacation home, I found the rear patio door unlocked and set off the alarm. I was able to lock the door and exit through the garage. I left resident an email and voicemail.
1030 Completed vacation checks (whew).
1035 Flagged down by Yacht Club staff regarding a BMW that had been parked for 2 weeks. I ran the tag, not stolen, and provided the owner’s info. They will try and locate the owner.
1045 Traffic stop for one way violation on SE 9 Ave. Realtor going to showing in the neighborhood. Warning given.
1125 Checked the alleyway by the cemetery. No activity noted.
