1740 Traffic stop on moped driver riding on sidewalk against one way on SE 9 Ave. Local resident claiming to be trying to get home out of the rain. Warning given.
1910 Checked Yacht club. Rainy slow night.
1930 Dispatched to alarm at a business. Cancelled as I arrived.

0700- Began and completed out of town checks, all appear to be secure.
0750- Patrolled Isles and LYC. Bridges free of fisherman.
0815- Patrolled Rio mainland and parks.
0830- Patrolled businesses along Federal.
0900- Traffic enforcement (stop sign) Cordova/9st. No violators.
0920- Final patrol all areas.
1620 Call from resident reference a solicitor for GE alarms. He did not have a City permit. He was advised and left the area.
1800 Rain. Checked the Yacht Club parking areas
1900 Continued patrols in the rain. Checked businesses along Fed.

1545 Began patrols and checks of vacation homes.
1710 All vacation homes checked secure.
1755 Removed an illegally parked car belonging to a fisherman on SE 9 Street and Ponce
1800 Patrols of the Isles, Cordova Road and the Yacht Club.
1845 I located a small brown “Yorkie” walking alone in the 700 block of Ponce De Leon. Clearly a family pet that had escaped the confines of his home, I gathered him up and began seeking his master. Within a few minutes I was flagged down by a distraught female and two highly-stressed youths. Alas, the gang was reunited and Thanksgiving would once again be celebrated with the greatest of enthusiasm.

0820 I began the patrols and checks of the vacation homes. It’s only 45 degrees, Brrrrrrr, I am thankful today that winter doesn’t visit here often.
0905 I removed an illegally parked car (traffic hazard) 11Ct. and US 1 (near Starbucks).

0720 Completed as much as I could. Gone 10-7
1100 Flagged down by female resident in reference to a potential domestic situation which may be about to begin at her home. She was asking advice on how to handle her situation legally and she was informed to call 911 if the situation gets violent.
1215 All vacation homes checked secure.
1300 Patrolled the Yacht Club, Cordova Road and the Isles.
1400 Patrolled the parks and the entrances to Rio Vista
1500 Final checks of the area.

night’s incident. He advised the HOA will be

0800 Began and completed out of town checks, all appear to be secure.
0850 Patrolled Isles and LYC. Bridges clear of fisherman.
0920 Patrolled Rio mainland and parks, due to inclement weather it is a quiet day with not much activity. The sun is fighting to come out.
0950 Traffic enforcement along 9ave. Two verbal warnings provided to Rio residents in reference to incomplete stop (members).
1040 Patrolled businesses along Federal Hwy. No unusual activity to report.
1055 Directions provided to motorist in search of courthouse.
1115 Final patrols all areas. Additional directions provided to lost motorist looking for Federal.
1545 Began patrols and re-checks of vacation homes.
1630 I located a large package at the front door during a vacation home check. I contacted the homeowner by phone who stated she would have her local contact come and retrieve the package. The homeowner stated she would not be home for a few more weeks yet but would keep us advised.
1700 All vacation homes checked secure on re-check.
1815 Removed a vagrant from the gazebo who appeared to have established a camp.
1900 Checked a W/M fisherman on the SE 7 Street Bridge. The subject stated he was leaving anyway and did so without incident.
1930 Checked the businesses along US 1.
2040 Staged the patrol car at Virginia Young Park in preparation for the Holiday Party this weekend and foot patrols back to SE 5 Ct. to retrieve my car.

0935 Completed mainland checks, checked Yacht Club parking areas
1120 Completed checks. While checking vacation home, neighbor from across the street came out and said her alarm had gone off around 0100. She had resident on the phone, and I advised that everything looked ok. She hopes to be home soon.
1135 Observed pickup parked at edge of drive with suitcase sitting on open tailgate. I observed no one around. Knocked on door and alerted homeowner and explained detail. He was very thankful for the check.
1215 Call of an alarm at residence. It was accidentally set off by the cleaning lady.
1545 I began the patrols and re-checks of vacation homes.
1645 All vacation homes checked secure on re-checks.
1730 I followed a broken down golf cart being pulled by a car with my overhead lights activated from SE 6 Street to S. Rio Vista Blvd. for safety reasons as darkness was on setting quickly. The vehicle and gold cart all arrived safely in the 1100 block of S. Rio Vista.
1805 I overheard an audible residential alarm which had activated. Upon arrival I was met by the father of the resident who was visiting and was in possession of the over head garage door opener to the home.
Unfortunately, he was not in possession of the alarm code which was a bit of a problem. We secured the residence, exited and waited for the homeowners to return. Once the homeowner arrived, all was found to be secure.
1845 Patrolled the entrances streets to Rio Vista.
1900 Responded to a 911 residential call. This is an abandon lot of a recent tear down of a home. Nothing is present at this time. This is a repeat call.
1925 Patrolled the isles and the Yacht Club.

1100 Completed vacation checks
1300 Dispatched to residential alarm. The alarm was cancelled prior to arrival.
1330 Traffic stop at SE 11 Ct/ 9 Ave for stop sign. A warning was given.
1605 Call on detail phone reference a W/M on the median of the entry to the tunnel on the
south side. Contact made with male waiting for a ride who “did not see the sidewalk”.
he was transported to Starbucks & given a warning. Called reporter back & left a
message.
1650 Net fisherman chased from the navigable bridge on 9 St so he would not surprise
boats passing underneath. I explained the reason it was prohibited.
1654 Traffic stop for stop sign violation at 9 & 9. Rio resident warned & admonished.
1832 Traffic stop for stop sign violation at 9 & 9. Driver warned & admonished.

1120 Completed vacation checks.
1130 Had construction crew remove cone from roadway at Cordova/11th that was there for no particular reason.
1230 Continued patrols, checked the Yacht Club
1603 Out of town checks completed & apparently secure.
1653 Traffic stop, stop sign violation at Cordova & 9. Rio vista resident warned and
admonished.
1700 Traffic stop, stop sign violation at 9 Ave & 11 Ct. Another resident warned and
admonished. Maybe a safety reminder in the newsletter could be mentioned.
1710 Word must be going around about this 9 St bridge between Rio & Ponce and
casting a net for fish. Two nights in a row there is someone giving it a try.
Tonight the fisherman is also not licensed. He was explained the reason for the
violation and explained how to get a license.
1725 Flagged down while conducting a check at the LYC. A member advised an
Employee of the LYC (a valet) was driving his vehicle “70 miles an hour”
coming into the LYC lot. I contacted the manager and spoke with the valet,
who denied the allegation.
1922 Dispatched to a parking complaint. Reporter wanting to be
anonymous about complaining on a neighbor parking in front of her house. I had to
explain that there was no violation, the swale is a City right of way and people
can park. She was not happy, but understood the situation

0000 Patrols through neighborhood. Quiet. Too quiet.
0130 Checked Yacht club
0200-0315 Conducted unmarked surveillance at 9 St/ Cordova. One car came through, no other activity.
