0930 Begin patrol and house checks.
0945 I checked all of the out of town homes Too much water in the street, need a canoe or raft to get over there. Lots of flooding due to super high tide and full moon.
1004 Made contact with two black males fishing off bridge at SE 9th St/Cordova. Subjects did not have a permit and were advised they needed one. Subjects packed up and left. MI 12-122928.
1005 Patrolled the mainland and isles, the tide has gone down and most of the roads are dry.
1305 Water has finally dried up
1615 Began patrols and re-checks of vacation homes
1800 All vacation homes checked secure on rechecks.
1900 The water levels are rising while the temperatures are falling (very quiet night)
2000 Checked the pumpkin patch and all businesses along US 1
2030 Final patrols of area, Cordova Road, Ponce De Leon and the Isles are flooded.

1015 Anonymous caller stated the residence leave there white terrier out not on a leash and let it run free when they ride their bikes. Traffic issue.

1600 1) Message was from Monday night in reference to a puddle accident on S. Federal Hwy. The call was received at 22:27 hrs and no officer was on duty at that time for the detail.
1615 Began patrols and checks of vacation homes.
1655 All vacation homes checked secure.
1700 Began Halloween patrols of the area
1730 Closed road at SE 9 Street and Rio Vista, crowd control detail
2130 Began disbursing large crowd from area of Virginia Young Park
2245 The majority of the crowd has been removed, high visibility patrols initiated.
2330 Neighborhood activity nearly finished at this point, continued patrols.
0040 Checked a group of fishermen at the end of SE 10 Street, no problems observed.
0100 Checked businesses along US1/Pumpkin Patch.
0200 10-7 – Rio Vista survived Halloween without a major incident

1453 Out of town checks completed and apparently secure.
1517 Traffic stop, stop sign at 9 ST & Ponce. Rio Vista resident warned and admonished.
1533 Fishermen on Cordova & SE 11 St on the curtilage. They did not belong there. Sent on
way.
1635 Cordova & SE 11 St is quite the host-spot for fishermen tonight. Contact made with male
on private dock who had expired permit. Sent on way with warning.
1650 Call on detail phone reports her dog went missing last night after 2100. The dog is a male Maltese, white in color with a black scab under the right eye. The dog was not wearing a collar..
1711 Flagged down by a W/F walking her dog at SE 6 St and Ponce. She believes she was just being followed by a W/M on a bicycle. The woman she contacted on the stree tat the time does advise she saw a W/M on bicycle ride from the area. They both describe the male as being in his 50’s, wearing a brown t-shirt an brown shorts. He also had a mustache. The second woman says he looked familiar from the neighborhood. I drove around but could not locate him.
1725 I checked 2 more fishermen at Cordova/SE 11 St at a private dock. I sent them away.
1735 Contacted a W/F who left her vehicle in the intersection of Cordova and SE 12 ST, with the door open into traffic. It is the lost dog reporter from above. She is frantically looking for the dog. She provided me with a flier she made (I did not note a black scab under the right eye). It is on the clip board.
1830 Parks, corridors, LYC and neighborhood secure. 10-7

1645 10-8, one message from resident who wanted to let us know she found her dog from above!
1920 Responded to burglary of a vehicle in progress at 6 St/ Andrews. I arrived to find a male owner inside of car his own car.
2000 Checked area for stolen vehicle from 15 St/ Federal. Pizza guy had his car stolen while he was out delivering pizza.
2045 Received call from resident who wanted information on barking dog ordinance, which I gladly provided.
2200 Continued patrols, checked area around parks

0734- Responded to residence reference to S-49.
0800- Began and completed out of town house checks, all appear to be secure.
0853- Responded to 11 St/Cordova reference to 4 W/M’s littering in the area. Contact was made with the children and parent who are all Rio residents and are fishing off bridge. All parties stated they will clean upon departure, 98 MI S-13 12-124991.
0950- Above vehicle moved out of Rio vicinity.
1046- Dispatched to private dock in between. Reference to 2 wm’s fishing off dock. Contact was made resident gave permission to his employee to use dock. NFA, 98 MI 12-125018.
1115- Patrolled Isles, and LYC.
1140- Patrolled Rio Vista mainland to include rear of buildings along Federal.
1215- Foot patrol of parks, which are all crowded due to nice weather. I remained highly visible on Rio mainland.
1240- Called in reference to a S-13V in which she saw approximately 20mins ago. (blue Toyota) occupied by w/f blonde hair. Upon my arrival (within two minutes) I circulated the area and the vehicle was GOA.
1255- Directions provided to lost motorist.
1305- Removed S-86 type w/m from Abrey Park.
1330- Traffic stop 9 Ave/11St ref one way, silver Toyota FL. Out of state lost driver from the north east who was escaping Hurricane Sandy. No citation issued.
1345- Final patrols all areas.

1655 – Call from member of a suspicious vehicle driving around Ponce. Vehicle located, 2 valet employees waiting to start work at a private party.
1715 – Begin patrols and house checks.
1800 – House checks secure, continue patrols through Isles and LYC.
1900 – Patrol mainland.
2000 – Check the Federal Highway business district.

0550- Early morning sweep to the rear of businesses proved no concerns.
0630- Patrolled school bus stops and followed school bus along route to ensure school children boarded safely.
0650- Began and completed out of town house checks, all appear to be secure.
0705- Observed Porsche on blocks. Contact was made with owner.
Began report as U-46 was enroute and took over report and processing. #12-125687. Our midnight bandits are still causing havoc.
0745- Patrolled Isles, LYC.
0755- Patrolled Rio mainland and parks.
1730 Delivered sign and sticker to new member

2200 Stopped vehicle for running red light. Driver, had a suspended license and was on probation for cocaine. Driver charged and arrested. Case #12-126025.

1600 All vacation homes checked secure
1615 Began patrols
1620 Dispatched to a residential alarm. Upon arrival several workers were present working in garage area advising they had accidentally activated the alarm while working. All was secure otherwise.
1715 Received a call on the detail phone concerning an open door found
which is an abandon house. I checked the property and found the decaying door in question enters a small utility room only and doesn’t access the home. There was no forced entry only damage from rain soaked rotted wood. I contacted the bank in charge of the foreclosure. The bank sent a representative out to see if the door could be secured more permanently and he temporarily secured the door.
1930 Patrolled the Yacht Club, Cordova Road and the Isles
2000 Patrolled the entry streets into Rio Vista, businesses along US1 and all parks

1030 Completed vacation checks, all appears secure.
1110 Ran off several door-to-door vendors on the isles (landscapers).
1700 10-8, flagged down by resident reference a dispute with her boyfriend. She requested that I speak with her boyfriend and ask that he not contact her anymore. I followed her to where he was stumbling down the road in a drunken stupor, and advised him that he was no longer to contact her.
1830 Continued patrols of area.
2030 Observed black mustang leaving known drug dealer youths house shortly after it arrived. It just so happened to have a brake light out. Stop initiated. He turned over 4 grams marijuana, pipe, scale, snifter, and fake Florida ID. His father was contacted and responded. Issued Juvenile notice to appear in court. Passenger mother also picked him up. .
2230 Completed extremely lengthy amount of paperwork required for the juvenile citation program.

2100 Responded to area of Davie/Federal for an aggravated assault vehicle that was headed northbound. I monitored the area, no sighting.

0730- Began and completed out of town checks, all appear to be secure.
0745- Patrolled Isles,
0810- Patrolled Rio mainland including to the rear of businesses along Federal Hwy.
0825- Observed open car door. Contact was made with resident who was placing belongings in vehicle.
0840- Traffic enforcement 9 Ave/11ct. No activity.
0900- Observed a S-13V older white model Mitsubishi with dark tints driving aimlessly 9 Ave/6 St area. Traffic stop conducted 1100 block of 5ct. Driver to be identified, who stated she was lost and was heading to do house work. This was confirmed by Rio resident and member who confirmed presence. All was 10-4.
0925- Foot patrol of parks.
1000- Final patrols all areas.
1900 completed loop around the community.

1015 All vacation homes checked secure
1030 Flagged down by resident in reference to a suspicious vehicle seen in recent evenings in the area of Ponce De Leon. The vehicle is described as a white or grey SUV bearing Florida tag 098-KTL. The tag returns to a 2008 Infiniti.. The vehicle is reportedly loitering occupied in the area with the stereo playing loudly and also parking in private driveways at night. The vehicle was BOLO’d as suspicious and the Q35 car will be parked in the area beginning this evening.
1200 Checked all parks and found them to be busy with residents on this beautiful fall day.
1300 Patrolled the Isles, Yacht Club and Cordova Road.
1335 Checked a B/M fisherman at the end of SE 10 Street, all was secure; asked to clean up before leaving the area.
1400 Monitoring of parking problems in the 900-1100 block of SE 11 Street/Ponce, as well as 13 Terrace and Ponce as large birthday parties are underway. I am attempting to keep an open lane of travel on the narrow streets.
1500 Moved two vehicles blocking traffic flow in 1000 block SE 11 Street.
