0750- Began and completed out of town checks, all appear to be secure.
0830- Patrolled Isles, LYC.
0850- Traffic enforcement 9/11ct. No violators.
0910- Patrolled businesses along Federal, due to weather no activity.
1000- Directions provided to lost motorist looking for Birch.
1023- Dispatched to residence, going thru divorce unoccupied home. Contact was made with Mr. who was removing lawn equipment from garage. Contact was then made with Ms. who confirmed presence.
1040- Patrolled Rio Vista mainland, no unusual activity to report.
1100- Final patrols all areas. A quiet day due to heavy rains.

1800 Patrols in the rain. Not much going on.
1900 Stopped and talked to fisherman on SE 10 St. They were advised to clean up the area when they were finished.
2100 Checked Yacht club parking area. Drizzle and rain.

1615 Began patrols and checks of vacation
1700 Fueled and washed the Q35 patrol car again
1720 Responded to dispatch at Stanahan Landings Park in reference to a suspicious person who had been writing on a parked motorcycle, possibly vandalizing the cycle. Upon arrival I located the suspect and reporter on scene. The suspect was an obviously mental disabled individual who had written upon a the fender of a motorcycle with an ink pen which was parked S. Federal Hwy in the apartment building parking lot. There was no damage to the motorcycle, the ink was wiped away and the owner could not be located. The suspect was escorted out of the area by patrol units and advised not to return. MI Card 12-112589.

1930 Checked fisherman on SE 10 Street, all secure but no fish.
2000 Patrolled businesses along Federal Hwy.
2030 High visibility patrols of the mainland streets
2115 Final patrols on foot in area of SE 9 Ave south of SE 9 Street and Virginia Young Park.

0940- Removed S-86 type W/M from Abrey Park.
1000- Patrolled Rio Vista mainland and businesses along Federal.
1020- Foot patrol of parks, all quiet.
1045- Final patrols all areas.
2140 Traffic stop on Federal Hwy on vehicle that turned right from the far left lane almost causing an accident. Citation issued.
2230 Stopped vehicle for red light violation. Warning given.
2330 Checked Yacht Club parking areas.

1050- Began house checks.
1140- House checks complete, all appear to be secure.
1200- Patrolled Isles, Cordova, and LYC..
1220- Patrolled Rio Vista mainland, and behind businesses along Federal. No unusual activity due to heavy rains.
1300- Final patrol all areas.
1800 Observed vehicle on side of road at 11/ Cordova with woman sitting on the sidewalk. It turned out that her vehicle broke down and she was waiting for a tow.
1900 Checked Yacht Club parking areas
2100 Continued patrols of area. Checked parks.
2230 Stopped group of 6 fishermen on SE 10 St at end. Removed group, as no one had a valid fishing license.

1600 Resident at 801 Cordova had found a set of car keys and wanted someone to come by.
1615 Began patrol and checks of vacation homes
1621 Dispatched to residential alarm, upon arrival I located two separate doors of the residence unsecured. A check of the interior with the homeowner who soon arrived revealed the home and contents to be in its proper condition. MI Card #12-114933

1800 All vacation homes checked secure on re-check
1825 Responded to take possession of a set of keys located in street by the n3arby property owner. Report taken and /property remitted to evidence. Report #12-114984
1845 Backed up patrol sergeant on traffic stop 600 block SE 3 Ave.
2100 Checked a fisherman on the 7 Street Bridge, all was secure.
2115 Monitored traffic entering Rio Vista via SE 12 Street.

2215 Observed male walking around a car with a flashlight. Turned out his tire was making a sound and we discovered a large nail in the tire. He stated that he would replace it tomorrow.

1448 Contacted teen and his mother in empty lot across as they were possessing a high-end BB rifle with scope ($$$). I took the opportunity to explain City regulations for the BB rifle.
1526 Out of town checks completed and apparently secure.
1539 RVSP sign delivered to new member
1547 Traffic stop on golf cart. A father was allowing his 8 yr old sign operate a golf cart
and 2 additional 8-10 yr olds were riding on the back. Father was explained regulations
and warned.

1635 Contacted driver of a grey Mazda while stopped for an extended period in the road
way. He is waiting for his roommate to swap cars in the
apartment bldg lot. He was directed to wait off of the roadway.
1800 Political fundraiser causing a significant traffic problem
even though there is a valet service provided. Two areas of roadway not passable. I
contacted valet and warned them regarding the situation, which would likely result in
citations if not remedied.

0915- Assisted 1C304 with traffic due to minor S-4 he was working (12-116031)
0940- Responded to residence in reference a burglary vehicle, upon my arrival contact was made with housekeeper, Ms. Diehl, who misplaced her pocket book. Unit cancelled per reporter.
0953- Responded to residence reference S-49, all appears to be secure.
1010- Resumed patrol behind businesses along Federal Hwy. No unusual activity to report.
1020- Quick foot patrol of parks.
1030- Final patrol all areas

0900 From Friday, message from resident. She desired to let us know that while she was out of town recently a wrought iron table and a flag pole/flag were stolen from her front porch.
0920 Began patrols and checks of vacation homes
1015 Follow up calls and visits in reference to the messages listed above. She was very happy for the follow up visit and she will let us know the next time of her travels so we can help secure the home with vacation checks.
1145 I located the property owner at home while completing a vacation check. The resident returned yesterday and shall be on scene for the remainder of the winter with only periodic absences. The property was removed from the daily vacation home check list.
1215 All vacation homes checked secure.
1230 Received call in reference to a complaint. Upon arrival the resident reports his Mitt Romney presidential election yard sign was stolen over night.
1320 I located a large brown dog with one red eye running freely in the area. I checked with some residents in the area and learned where the dog belonged. In knocking on the door here I found a rear door standing open and an open window which allowed the door to escape. There was also a not-so-friendly beagle inside the home which apparently had chosen not to leave but could have if he wanted.
I researched records and obtained a phone number to owner who is a resident and one of the dog owner. He stated this is an ongoing problem with an irresponsible roommate whom they are trying to evict from the property. The two brothers were advised this will be the last incident the police will be handling for them without using animal control to take the dogs away. They were strongly advised to correct whatever problems they are having before police officers had to intervene again.
1400 Resumed patrols
1500 I dismissed two young romantic bicyclists who were enjoying the scenic view whilst they cuddled passionately on the dock at the empty lot at the end of SE 7 Isle. Unfortunately, even such harmless bliss such as this is trespassing in the eyes of our prude laws.
1535 Patrolled all of the parks
1600 Patrolled the Yacht Club/Cordova Road and Ponce De Leon.
