1500 – Patrol Rio, Ponce, and area parks. Traffic enforcement on SE 9th Ave from 12th street to N. Rio Vista due to member complaints of speed and stop signs. No violations observed.
1630 – Patrol Isles, Cordova, and LYC. Special (radar) attention to SE 9th Street from Cordova to Ponce. NO speed violations observed. 1 stop for stop sign violation, citations issued for no proof of insurance.
1730 – Resume mainland patrols.

1110- Returned the two phone call/messages on phone. Contact was first made with
Resident who wanted to add washer/dryer to her burglary report 11-12708 from 2/2/11.
Stated she was currently at work and did not have much info on the items
With her, however when she gets home she will call to add supplement.
Contact was made with Resident, who stated tomorrow 3/8/11 approx.
10am she will be going to her lawyers with her elderly father to turn in his DL.
While at the office the fathers car will be towed,
1145- Began and completed house checks, all secure.
1240- Returned to Rio Vista, patrolled mainland, Isles, and LYC..
1300- I checked on vehicle, From Sat. incident, and confirmed the vehicle was moved and is now parked directly in front and the animal skull has been removed.
1400- Observed a white chevy van bearing California plate 5kot939 with no identifying business marlkings on it. Followed van until it parked at residence. Contact was made with subject who stated he is visiting from CA. and demonstrated working keys to the residence.
1415- Made contact with several other van/work vehicles with no identifying business markings and verified IDs and presence. All were 10-4
1800 Completed rounds of parks, school area and yacht club.
1900 Patrolled the isles and maintained a presence along Cordova. Gave out directions to lost motorists.
2000 It is bulk trash pickup tomorrow and there are trucks wondering the neighborhood hoping to score. Several vehicles stopped and released. Records checks completed.
2100 Continued high visibility throughout neighborhood due to presence of trash collectors.
2200 Patrolling major thorough fares through neighborhood to maximize visibility to those traversing the neighborhood.

0615 In-Service in Rio Vista. I called Mr. Weber and left him a message. Initiating patrol of Rio Vista.
0715 Completed all 5 vacation checks.
0815 Patrolled all isles, parks, and LYC. There are a lot of people out exercising. I also monitored traffic along SE 9 Avenue.
1930 Checked Yacht Club parking areas
2030 Checked business along federal
2145 Investigated 2 fishermen along SE 10 St. One did not have his fishing license. Had them pack up and leave the area.

0815 Began patrols and checks of vacation homes
0830 Check of areas around the Bethany Christian School, all appeared to be normal.
1100 All vacation homes checked secure
1200 Patrolled all of the Isles which were very busy with construction type activities, Cordova Road and the Yacht Club.
1300 Continued patrols with emphasis on the entrances areas to Rio Vista, a couple of traffic citations were issued for entering Rio Vista from SE 12 Street to SE 9 Ave.
1815 Began patrols and rechecks of all vacation homes
1915 Assisted disabled motorist on Federal Hwy near SE 6 Street. The vehicle was pushed out of the street to clear the roadway hazard.
1945 Checked a loud group of youths gathering at the church/school property near the basketball court on SE 8 Street, it seems a sponsored event is about to begin here, no further actions
2005 All vacation homes checked secure on re-check
2025 Checked (2) W/M fishermen on 10 Isle who were now officially licensed for salt water/bank fishing, they were advised to keep the area clean and stated they would do so.
2120 Located an opened garage door, knocked on door to advised homeowner who stated he had forgotten to close it, he thanked us for our work in the neighborhood.

1600 Message on the detail phone regarding a donation for the Rio Vista car show. I called Mrs. Stillwell back and provided her the phone number for Mark Snead.
Began out-of-town checks.
1625 Out-of-town checks completed, began neighborhood patrol.
1700 Began corridor patrol regarding rush-hour cut-thru traffic
1926 While patrolling LYC, came across a 2011 Jeep with the rear passenger door wide open and unattended. FCIC/NCIC check showed it was a lease out of Oklahoma. I contacted valet workers who will try to locate the owner (they did not park it). Nothing appeared amiss with the vehicle’s interior.
1942. Checked lot adjacent to 1020 SE 11 Ct for homeless. None found.

1000 Completed vacation checks. Continued patrols. Stopped and spoke with an extermination company worker who was blocking SE 10 Street isles with his trunk. He promptly moved his vehicle to open the roadway.
2040 PSA was flagged down regarding a cab driver having a dispute with a passenger on Cordova. Assisted cab driver with passenger that was refusing to pay.

2345 Message retrieved from 2230 hrs of kids talking loudly at the park. I responded and found them to have been gone prior to my arrival.
0030 Dispatch advised of an audible. I responded and made contact with the owner who advised the alarm went off as they slept for an unknown reason. She advised problems with the system were recently fixed. An unsecure window was found to the rear of the home. I was also asked to check the interior of the home for intruders. After checking both interior and exterior, the call was cleared by MI 11-28679.
0100 Checked all the isles, Cordova and Ponce. Also patrolled yacht club.
0200 Circulated the west side of the neighborhood checking all streets from Rio Vista Blvd to Federal. Check of vacant lot on SE 11 Court conducted.
0300 Focused patrol on neighborhood access points, Cordova/12 St, 9 Ave/11 Ct and Ponce/Fed.
0400 Monitored traffic coming into neighborhood at SE 7 St and Fed. Circulated all areas.

0930- House checks complete, all secure.
0957- Responded to an alarm. Upon my arrival at residence several construction worker were present with work orders and demonstrated working keys to the residence. Homeowner was not answering his cell phone.Closed out as S-68 11-029626.
1050-Continued patrol of LYC,Isles, and Rio Vista mainland. No unusual activity tpo report.
1110-Resident/homeowner. flagged me down and asked if I could have the construction workers not park along the point of Se 5Th ct and Rio Vista as it blocks her view upon leaving driveway. Contact was made with construction workers who willingly agreed and moved vehicles.
1220- Patrolled behind businesses along Federal Hwy.
1234- Assisted with possible strong arm, along with Bohm 1c304, from Winn Dixie 1625 Cordova where the culprit was suppose to be heading north on Cordova. Lter confirmed culprit fled south. 10-8
1737 Responded to an audible alarm. Home found secure. No signs of entry. Members, OR # 11-29793
1830 Checked all of the isles, yacht club and monitored traffic along Cordova.
1930 Circulated streets along Federal, SE 9 Ave, Rio Vista and Ponce.
2030 Monitored traffic entering neighborhood at Ponce/Fed, 7 St/Fed and 9 St/Fed.
2130 More checks of the isles. Flagged down by owner of who thanked us for our check of her home (earlier audible alarm) and advised the company will be responding back out to fix the malfunction.
2230 Continued tour of neighborhood. Monitored traffic at SE 11 Ct and 9 Ave, SE 8 St and Fed, Cordova and 11 St.

0700 I completed all vacation checks and also checked the LYC.
0727 I responded to Virginia Shuman Park in reference to a suspicious male. I made contact with 16 year old, who had been sleeping in the park all night. I asked why he was sleeping in the park. He advised that he was supposed to be staying at nearby residence. Contact was made with that homeowner and she advised me that she was told by youth that he had gone home. Youth’s father responded and took custody of his son. MI completed 11-29999.
0900 Monitored traffic along S. Federal Highway and SE 9 Ave.
1620 Delivered new sign
1715 Drove through and checked Yacht Club parking areas. Secure.
1830 Flagged down on SE 6 Ct reference a missing 6yo. He was located after one phone call and had apparently left with a friend’s grandmother. All ok.
2000 Flagged down reference a found dog at 11 St/ Cordova. Dog had a tag with its address on SE 11 St. Walked the dog home to a teary eyed little boy who was very happy to see his puppy.
2030 Dispatched to an anonymous call of a suspicious male walking a dog on SE 11 St looking into yards. In the area within 2 minutes, no such person found. MI completed.
2130 Continued patrols, checked businesses along Federal.
2300 Received call from resident on SE 7 isle concerning a small suspicious 12’ boat with no lights. Apparently the boat came under the 7st bridge and was traveling slowly along the docks with 3 unknown males. One of the males appeared to be lying down in the middle wearing an orange life preserver. When the reportees dogs started barking, the boat took off eastbound. No nautical units available. Checked the canal to intracostal, appeared to be gone.

0615 Began patrols and checks of vacation homes, lots of walkers and joggers this morning
0645 I located a W/M sleeping in a Ford pick up truck (Maryland tag) just off of the street in the vacant field at SE 8 Street and Rio Vista Blvd. Upon waking the occupant I learned that he was part of a construction crew which has been contracted by the City to do work in Rio Vista but he was early to arrive so he was waiting. He did have the proper identification items to show.
0730 Assisted a lost motorist who was seeking an address
0855 All vacation check homes were found secure
0940 A large amount of congested traffic was cleared in the 1700 block of SE 10 Street at the new home construction cite. Many of the workers on hand had apparently driven to work today and several cars were moved to one side of the roadway to open it for safer passage.
1020 I removed 3 B/M fishermen from the 7 Street bridge area, none had fishing licenses, they were congesting the bridge with their poles and equipment and were illegally parked on SE 7Street (blocking the roadway). They were somewhat belligerent as they were leaving but left without incident.
1055 Check of the Yacht Club, Cordova Road and the Isles
1135 Final patrols of Rio Vista, all is quiet.

0915 Began checks of vacation homes and patrols of area
1015 I located an opened and unlocked door at vacation check. The door was from the carport area into the garage which is completely load with the belongings of the homeowners and accesses the office area. It didn’t appear that anything was disturbed and was most likely left open overnight by the property owners as it was not in this condition the previous day when I checked it. I did go the new temporary residence of the homeowners and spoke to the wife who advised her husband is not very good at closing doors and she would call me if she found anything wrong after checking the garage area. I didn’t receive any calls further on this today.
1105 All remaining vacation homes checked secure
1210 Assisted lost couple that was looking for Las Olas Blvd,
1225 Patrolled all of the Isles, Cordova Road and the Yacht Club
1300 Traffic stop made on speeding construction worker enroute to SE 9 Street (45 MPH). Citations issued for speeding, expired tag and no insurance.
1335 Final Checks of area, all appears quiet on this beautiful day.

1445 I arrived at residence reference call on phone and located the truck which was the subject of complaint. Dodge truck bearing Florida plate registered to Rio Address. I left a phone message with reportee and advised him the truck was not stolen that it belonged in the Rio Vista Isles neighborhood. I also left a phone message with the owners and advised them a complaint had been filed against their truck parked on SE 11 Street asking them to move it if possible. No further action taken/no violations observed.
1515 Began patrols of Rio Vista/Checks of vacation homes
1625 All vacation homes checked secure
1655 Completed checks of all parks (secure but busy with activities).
1720 Responded to BOLO placed on a possible intoxicated driver of a green and white golf cart in the area of N. Rio Vista Blvd. I checked the area for over 20 minutes and was unable to locate.
1745 Gave a warning to a woman who was holding a yard sale on a city sidewalk preventing pedestrian traffic., she advised she was unaware of this being a problem and removed her items at my request.
1825 Disbanded a group of three homeless type males that were loudly arguing over a beer on the north side of the market at SE 7 Street/Federal Hwy. Once I explained that possession of the disputed beer would result in the rightful owners immediate arrest, nobody then seemed to want the beer, hmmm very strange! The group was ordered to go west of Federal Hwy and resume their discussion. The beer was destroyed much to the dismay of all those in attendance.
